About the Performance
You’re invited on an exclusive tour to the Festival d’Avignon in France.
Join us for a curated experience at one of the most highly regarded performing arts festivals in the world that brings together theatre, food, wine, as well as history and culture. Just as in Williamstown, Avignon is less a festival you simply attend than a community you join, united by curiosity, dialogue, and a shared belief in theatre as a living art that does more than entertain. It changes the world.
This trip-of-a-lifetime is great for getting inspired, forging lasting connections, and coming back with new ideas to carry forward.
Tour highlights include:
- Five-night accommodations in the centrally located four-star Le Cloître Saint Louis boutique hotel with breakfast daily
- Private tour of Palais des Papes and other Avignon highlights
- Private cooking class at the Cuisine Centr’Halles with lunch
- Day excursion to the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region with two winery tours, tastings, and lunch
- Four dinners—at least two in Michelin-star restaurants—including Welcome and Closing Night Dinners
- At least four shows, as well as intimate behind-the-scenes artist experiences

For this 80th edition of the Festival d’Avignon, Director Tiago Rodrigues invites audiences to look to the future: "This edition will be rooted in the future and projected towards the next 80 years of the Festival. It is to the future that the questions raised by the invited artists will be addressed, in line with Jean Vilar's utopia."
Williamstown Theatre Festival is pleased to partner with travel curator Ghost Light Global, a worldwide entertainment curator designing bespoke travel, cultural, and culinary experiences for patrons of the arts.
RSVP no later than Thursday, March 27.
