With its commitment to excellence and the ambitious nature of its season, the Williamstown Theatre Festival challenges both aspiring and professional designers and technicians to develop or further hone their theatrical skills. Our technical staff and interns comprise a large part of the WTF Company which numbers more than 450 every season.

TECHNICAL STAFF POSITIONS

All professional staff positions are salaried. Salaries vary with responsibility of position and experience of the applicant. Staff receives free housing on the Williams College Campus. WTF is an equal opportunity employer, and is committed to creating a diverse company.

TECHNICAL INTERNSHIPS

Technical Internships at WTF offer the next generation of theatre technicians the chance to work alongside some of the most experienced and successful individuals in their particular field. Due to the ambitious nature of the WTF season, internships are quite rigorous. Interns are chosen on the basis of experience, recommendations and an interview. Interns are responsible for their own daily living expenses and pay $500 for Williams College housing. A few fellowships are available, and college credit may be arranged with your academic institution.

Design (costumes, lighting, props, scenic and sound)
Production Management
Stage Management
Technical Production
