THE NON-EQUITY COMPANY

The Non-Equity Company, comprised of artists drawn primarily from the top graduate programs in the country, supplement the Equity Company in Main Stage and Nikos Stage productions and take on principal roles in the Free Theatre and Fellowship Projects productions. The Fellowship Projects company members collaborate on the creation of a new play and a new musical throughout the course of the summer, and the Free Theatre company members perform in a new family-oriented production created by a promising young playwright and director. Non-Equity company members are also involved in numerous projects and special events directed by the Festival Directing Corps.

Strong consideration is given to actors who have completed the WTF Apprentice program. Some crew work, primarily assisting with Festival strikes and load-ins, is required. Non-Equity company members are responsible for their own daily living expenses and pay $600 for housing on the Williams College campus.

WTF is part of the Equity Membership Candidate program and EMC points can be obtained. College credit can be arranged through some academic institutions (contact your registrar for more information). Scholarships are available on a need basis.
